The National Honor Society (NHS) is a prestigious organization in the United States, dedicated to recognizing high school students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Founded in 1921, NHS chapters are present in schools across the country, fostering a commitment to academic achievement and community engagement among its members. Inductees are selected based on their academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities, service to their community, and demonstration of integrity and leadership qualities. Being a member of NHS not only acknowledges a student’s accomplishments but also encourages them to continue making positive contributions to their school and community.

This year we are excited to bring Fellowship of Christian Athletes to the students here at Burns Sci Tech!  Students are welcome to attend our bi-monthly huddles where they hear encouraging words based on God's word and His promises, eat pizza, and fellowship with other Christians. FCA's goal is to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to grow in Christ and lead others to do the same. It is open to any 7th-12th grade students who wish to come. They do not need to be a Christian or an athlete. We meet twice a month, once for each middle and high school lunch period. We are grateful for our student officers who help plan and organize our huddles, and for Brian Melanson and Pastor Joel Kolbosh who deliver messages from God's Word to the students.
