There's something special about the bond between older and younger students, and that magic was on full display as Miss Powers's 10th-grade English class teamed up with Ms. Beltram's 3rd-grade students to kick off a brand-new Reading Buddies collaboration!
The energy in the room was contagious as the high schoolers sat down with their younger buddies, sharing stories, asking questions, and helping build a love of reading. It was heartwarming to see the connections forming between big kids guiding younger students through exciting adventures on the page, while the younger students looked up to their new mentors with admiration.
This is just the beginning! We are excited to see more collaborations like this between our high school and elementary students in the near future. Stay tuned for more cross-grade learning experiences that bring our school community even closer together!
