Our girls' beach volleyball team has embarked on an exciting journey in their inaugural season under the leadership of Coach Carignan. Despite being brand new to the sport, these athletes have already shown incredible determination and talent.
In their first competition, Sarah and Hanah made a statement by defeating the 3rd-seeded team in a thrilling three-game match. The team finished the event with two wins and three losses—an impressive feat considering that all 11 girls are new to beach volleyball.
What makes this even more remarkable is that most of the high schools we compete against are significantly larger, with student populations of up to 2,600. Our team is a mix of experience and youth, comprised of two seniors, one junior, one sophomore, four freshmen, and three eighth graders. Despite being underdogs in terms of size and experience, their hard work and dedication are already paying off.
We are looking forward to a fun season filled with growth, teamwork, and new milestones. We couldn’t be prouder of our athletes and can’t wait to see them continue to develop on the sand! Let’s go, Eagles!
