Prom Week Magic: A Week of Spirit, Laughter, and a Night to Remember

Last week, our high school was absolutely buzzing with excitement as we counted down to one of the most anticipated events of the year—Prom 2025! Leading up to the big night, students and staff brought their energy and creativity to a weeklong celebration packed with themed dress-up days, school spirit, and unforgettable moments.
Spirit Week kicked off with a divine start—Mythology Monday—where students transformed into Greek gods, goddesses, and mythological creatures. On Groovy Tuesday, the school turned into a blast from the past with funky patterns, tie-dye shirts, and plenty of ‘70s swagger.
Duo Day brought out some amazing dynamic duos—everything from Mario & Luigi to Fire & Ice. Then came Throwback Thursday, where students took a trip through the decades, showing off styles from the '60s, '80s, and everything in between. But the true showstopper? Florida Man Friday. Let’s just say it was a wild day on campus, filled with hilarious headlines, beach gear, and creative chaos that had everyone talking.
Capping off the excitement was a high-energy pep rally on Friday afternoon. The gym was rocking with music, games, cheers, and school spirit as we came together to celebrate the end of an incredible week and the beginning of an unforgettable night.
And unforgettable it was! Saturday evening, students arrived at the Live Oak Cultural Center, dressed to the nines and ready to make memories. The venue sparkled with lights, music filled the room, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Friends laughed, posed for photos, and danced under the stars in what turned out to be a picture-perfect evening.
A highlight of the night was the crowning of our Prom Royalty. With cheers and applause echoing through the venue, we proudly crowned our second-ever Prom King and Queen—Addi Kutassi and Charles Frame. Congratulations to both of them on this special honor!
A huge thank you to Miss Powers and our amazing Student Government Association (SGA) for organizing such a fantastic event! From Spirit Week to the big night itself, their hard work and creativity made Prom Week unforgettable.
