Senior year is flying by, and we know this time can be both exciting and overwhelming for parents and students. To help you stay organized, we’ve put together this Senior Parent Guide with all the important dates, deadlines, and details leading up to Graduation Day!

Check the Senior Information tab on the Burns website regularly to stay up-to-date with the latest announcements.
🎁 Senior Swag Bags
Seeking Donations! We are looking for businesses or family sponsors to donate gifts for our senior swag bags. Donations can include homemade items, gift cards, or anything that could help our seniors in their next journey. Your support would mean the world to our graduating class! You can drop donations off at the front office marked Senior Swag Bag Attn: Megan Latham. If you have any questions, please email Megan Latham at LathamM@burnsscitech.org
🎓 Graduation Fees
All seniors are required to pay a $125 graduation fee. Payments can be made in cash, check, or card at the front office. Due Date: March 31, 2025: Make checks payable to Burns Science and Technology.

Treering yearbook ads are a great way to celebrate your senior’s journey. Deadline: April 3, 2025

A magical night for our seniors is just around the corner! Date: April 19, 2025. Location: Live Oak Cultural Center, New Smyrna Beach Time: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM

🍽️ Boo-Hoo Breakfast & Legacy Walk
This is a special moment for our seniors to walk the halls one last time! Date: May 16, 2025.
Time:
8:30 AM – Legacy Walk
9:00 AM – Breakfast in the Cafeteria
🏆 Senior & 9th-11th Grade Awards Night
An evening to celebrate the achievements of our seniors and underclassmen. Date: May 21, 2025. Time: 6:00 PM Location: BST Gym By invitation only. Families are welcome to attend.
🎓 Graduation Ceremony Details
Date: May 24, 2025 Time: 1:00 PM Location: Burns Science and Technology Gym
Tickets:
Each graduate may receive up to 10 tickets.
Tickets are $2 each. Arrival: Graduates must be in proper attire at the high school by 12:30 PM.
Cap & Gown Distribution: Caps and gowns will be handed out upon arrival.
🎩 Graduation Attire for Seniors
Graduation is a formal occasion, and all graduates should wear business-appropriate clothing under their gowns.
Graduation Caps:
Hair should be styled simply so caps fit properly.
