🎭 Stepping Into the Woods: A Magical Night of Theater, Music & Memories!

Last week, the stage at Burns Sci-Tech came alive with enchantment and laughter as our talented students brought Into the Woods Jr. to life. This beloved musical weaves together classic fairytale characters like Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Baker and his wife—all on a quest that teaches the power of wishes, choices, and the importance of community.

Our students wowed the audience with their energy, talent, and dedication. Every line delivered and every note sung reminded us how much heart goes into these productions. The cast’s chemistry and stage presence were undeniable, and the audience was captivated from start to finish.

This year’s performance also featured an exciting new addition! 🎶 Mr. Leve and his incredibly gifted group of student musicians—guitarists, violinists, and singers—kicked off the evening with a beautiful musical prelude. Their performance set the perfect tone for the evening; we can’t wait to see and hear more from them in the future!

Of course, no Burns Sci-Tech show would be complete without the always-adorable and energetic Eaglets! Their dance number once again stole the show, bringing smiles and applause all around. Their joy and enthusiasm are a crowd favorite every single time.

What made this show extra special was the bittersweet farewell to four of our senior performers: Addie Kutasi, Jayden Handsom, Sydnee Glugover, and Saige Owens. These incredible students have graced our stage for years, and this was their final performance as Burns Sci-Tech students. The moment was emotional for Mrs. Lee, the cast, and the crew, as they celebrated these seniors with a touching video montage of their past performances and memories together. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

To Mrs. Lee, the cast, crew, musicians, and everyone who made this production possible: thank you for your hard work and dedication. Into the Woods Jr. reminded us of the magic that happens when creativity, passion, and community come together.
